CARE INSTRUCTIONS

We care about you and our product and want you to get the most wear out of it! 

Most of our garments are shouting for love!  Please be gentle with them.  Hand-wash in cool water or dry clean (please see styles for specific care instructions) and cool air dry.  Remember to flat dry your knitwear pieces to avoid them stretching and half-fold them to hang or preferably flat pack.

With regard to our headpieces and bags, many of the barethreads items are delicate and hand-sewn/hand-fastened pieces.  They should all be handled, worn and stored with care and avoid being tangled with other items to prevent breakage or damage.

Our costume jewellery pieces as well as gold-plated items will lose colour over time.  Help to care for your jewellery and clips by following the below 3 tips:

 

1. KEEP IT CLEAN

Be sure to always take off your jewellery before applying lotions, oils, sunscreens or perfume sprays.  From time to time, clean your jewellery with a soft cloth or jewellery cleaning cloth.  DO NOT use water and chemicals to clean it.

 

2. BAG IT UP

The best way to prevent tarnishing, chipping, tangling and damage is by storing your fashion jewellery in a soft pouch and barethreads will always send it to you in our beautiful velvet pouches to help you do just that! Try store jewellery pieces separately to other jewellery pieces if possible and always store jewellery in baggies or pouches or air-tight containers/bags whilst not being worn.

 

3. TAKE IT OFF

Think of it like your make-up!  You should never sleep with your jewellery on.  Also make sure to take it off before:

• Bathing/showering
• Swimming
• Exercising
